G Marc-Andre Fleury

Ahh it’s nice to have a franchise goalie to accommodate the superstars on the team. Sure players like Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin will take you far, but goaltending wins you Stanley Cups and the Penguins have a pretty darn good one in Marc-Andre Fleury. Thankfully for Penguins fans, Fleury will be in Pittsburgh for a while since he just signed a 7 year contract with the Penguins. Before the 08 playoffs though, Fleury was a question mark. Had difficulty with rebound control, his confidence was easily shaken and before the 08 playoffs, he was making the same mistakes he had when he was a rookie. But I guess you can say his coming out party was the 08 playoffs where Fleury played tremendous. His rebound control was much better and he never ‘lost’ a game for the Penguins in any of their losses. If he can keep that up for the next several years, he’ll easily be an elite goalie.
