D Kris Letang

When discussed about the many young stars the Penguins have in Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Jordan Staal, etc, Kris Letang’s name is hardly brought up though his name needs to be. Letang made a bang in Pittsburgh this year where he played the majority of the season with the Penguins. Though he had his ups and downs in Pittsburgh last year, Letang proved to be a solid addition to the future of the Penguins. He’s a little man but plays like a big man as he can very physical. He can also help the offense in making smooth, smart passes up to the forwards for them to make plays. Letang has also proved to be very good at shootouts which is uncharacteristic of a defensemen. Kris Letang was also a participant in the “2008 YoungStars Game”.
